Kurgo Wander Pack
Walking your dog doesn't have to be a complicated process. You grab a
leash, some water, something to scoop poop, and you're out the door.
But if you're trying to turn a simple dog walk into a serious workout,
the right equipment will help you and your dog make the most of your
time.
Keep Both of You Well Hydrated
Hands-free hydration is a cinch with a
CamelBak hydration pack.
We love that it holds enough water for a long walk or run. Not only is
it handy for a quick sip, but it's easy to squeeze some water into your
dog's mouth too. The zippered pockets have room for keys, a phone, a
snack and even a collapsible bowl.
Track Your Workout While You Walk Your Dog
The
Pupercise Kit
by The Shabby Dog comes with a hands-free wristwatch cuff with attached
adjustable leash so you can time your workout without hanging onto
anything bulky. It also includes a pedometer to track your steps and an
accessory wristlet to hold treats, baggies, a phone or whatever else
you might need. We found the Pupercise Kit very easy to use. We'd love
to see the cuff come in a more breathable material since we wear it
while getting sweaty, but we like having our hands free to play with an
iPod or hold a water bottle.
Turn Your Dog Into a Beast of Burden
If your workout session is going to last a while (such as a long hike), you might need to share the load. The
Kurgo Wander Pack
is just the thing. It fits dogs weighing anywhere from 30 to 80 pounds,
and is designed to be comfortable for your pet. In fact, when one Paw
Nation canine tester tried one out, she played like normal for a few
minutes before licking herself and laying down to nap, never seeming to
be bothered by the pack. The dual-saddlebag pack will fit treats,
first-aid supplies, toys and more (like this super-cool, surprisingly
deep
Collaps-a-bowl), but we do caution that you not load it down too much. Extra weight will tire your pup out more quickly, just as it would you.

running with your pooch as well as
interval training and more.

The Shabby Dog
You know the old saying, "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough
exercise"? Well, even if you don't, we do think there's something to it.
After all, there's little we love more in the world than working up a
sweat on a long walk alongside our best buddy.
This week's
Pupercise Kit giveaway could help you and Fido shed
some pounds and shape up for summer. The Shabby Dog Pupercise Kit
includes a leash attached to a hands-free wristwatch cuff, allowing you
not only to keep track of your time, but also makes it easy to hold a
water bottle or even a hand weight. It also includes a pedometer so you
can see how many steps you actually take on your daily walk, along with a
matching, attachable accessories pouch to carry your phone, ID, or
doggie doo baggies.

or black. And it could be yours. You just have to enter!

According
to an AP/Petside.com poll, 52 percent of pet owners plan on buying
their animals a holiday gift. Even if your pup made an entry on the
naughty list this year, you are most likely going to be getting him a
gift. Luckily for you, Dara Foster, PupStyle.com’s pet style
specialist, has compiled a list of hot items that will spoil your pet
without breaking your budget.
Evil Elf Society shirt
With
so much trouble to get into, our best friends can act like “Evil Elfs”
disguised as dogs — especially around the holidays. If your small-breed
pup has a “big” personality, this flashy metallic-accented shirt is
just right. It’s a great way to keep a dog warm and spread some holiday
cheer at the same time. $36; Zoomies
Patent-leather wrist cuff, collar and leash set
Taking
your dog for a walk is a gift you can give every day. With this lovely
patent-leather leash, collar and cuff set you can make it into a daily
fashion statement. The innovative “hands-free” cuff makes it much
easier to juggle your dog and a cup of coffee during those morning
walks. Available in vibrant, shiny red and blue, these accessories will
stand out against any dog’s fur. Cuff: $40; Collar: $36-$56; Leash:
$88; TheShabbyDog.com
Fashionistas and petite pooches go together like PB&J. So it was
about time someone launched a pup-focused line with style in mind!
The Shabby Dog
offers bows, cozy beds, a "hands-free leash" and more accessories that
cater to fashion-conscious pet owners and their pups. The leather leash
is a three-part system (pieces are sold separately) that connects
owners to dogs with ease: Instead of a handle, the
adjustable lead clasps to a
matching collar and a
suede-lined cuff,
so hands are free for fun stuff (like shopping bags!). The whole
caboodle is pricey (around $164-$184), but definitely makes a stylish
statement. Plus, the cuff can be worn alone as a chic bracelet.
More recessionista-friendly options include dog
pillow and blanket sets
($75), which are insanely soft, lined with satin and named for
celebrity couples, like Bennifer and TomKat. But the most fun items
have to be the cotton T-shirts, adorned with clever sayings from
Seinfeld and
The Simpsons writer Tom Gammill. A holiday-themed
dog tee that says "Fleas Navidad?" Priceless.

Hands-Free Dog Leashes
All dog owners
have been there: trying to juggle either an armload of bags and parcels
— or maybe just a drink and a cell phone — all the while grabbing onto
the end of a leash with our four-legged friend(s) on the other end.
The Shabby Dog has taken this problem and turned it into a “why didn’t someone think of that sooner?” They’ve created a wrist cuff that turns a leash into a hands-free lead (and the cuffs are cute too)!
Simply attach one of the stylish cuffs
to your wrist, attach the leash, and you’re good to go. Made from
genuine Italian Leather with suede lining, the cuff design allows you
to walk your dog hands and worry-free.
The leashes
are designed to be used with the cuff, or you can simply attach the
clip to the d-ring and it becomes a standard leash. The cuff can also
be worn as a piece of jewlery!
Of course, there are also collars that match the leashes and the cuffs.
The cuffs can be picked up at TheShabbyDog.com for $40 each.

Fall Dog Fashion: It's All Shabby Chic At The Shabby Dog
Featured in InventorSpot.com November, 2009
by Lady Bee
Fall is just around the corner, and I thought I'd remind you to
start scouting out your dog's back-to-the-city wardrobe. The Shabby
Dog, "For All Dog Kind" has some stunning new fashions in
ready-to-wear, including coats, tees, harnesses, bows, collars, and
leashes... plus some new beds, blankets and bowls your pooch will
love. They are totally shabby chic!
1. Shabby Dog Leather Maddox Jacket
Luscious
soft leather with a nice soft lining will keep your dog warm while
looking terrifically sharp this Fall. Collar is studded with nothin'
but Swarovski crystals! Here is the Maddox Jacket with it's Shabby Dog storage bag...
But truly, the Maddox looks much better on....
2. Shabby Dog Designer Tees
Otherwise known as the Sean Preston (Federline) Tee, the TEE02 is one of four tees designed with something or someone in mind! And more Swarovski crystals adorn....
3. Shabby Dog Leash With Cuff
The Leash Cuffs have got to be the chicest wear since Legally Blonde 2
with just a dash of S&M. You have to love the Italian patent
leather leash and hands-free cuff , lined with suede, that you can buy
with a matching dog collar or harness, of course. These are available in many dramatic color combinations.
4. The Shabby Dog Harness
Shabby
Dog Harnesses are actually full vests; not a criss-cross of straps
around your dog's torso, but an actual outfit perfect for Fall. This
is a great idea for cooler weather, even well into the winter. Here shown is the handmade (in the U.S.) Denim with Camoflage Trim with Swarovski crystals. It even comes with a matching leash. Visit the other harness designs too!
5. Shabby Dog Apple Green And Knox Brown Jackets
Such a scrumptuous softy! Now these are literally shabby! They're apple green and Knox Brown), and so shabby, they're even washable! ( i wish I could borrow my dog's clothes!)
6. Shabby Dog Beds & Pillows
Recognize these dogs? Aren't the ensembles just heavenly? Just what your pooch needs. Lovely, soft bedding to surround your loving pup.
7. Shabby Dog Blankets & Pillows
Oooh. This Cougar Dog Blanket and Pillow
have got to be the plushest around. You can even get a bed to match.
Livin' in the lap o' luxury, I'd say. See more glamorous dog blankets here.
8. Shabby Dog Tarina Tarantino Bows
Here are just three of several brilliantly cut, colored, and Swarovski crystal spiked Tarina Tarantino bows for your dog's great bling!
9. Shabby Dog Travel Dog Bowls
Looks like another Legally Blonde inspired bag, but this time hiding two neat stainless steel travel bowls for your baby's food and water. Check out the trim on these nicely appointed bags. Lovely in hatbox or in cosmetic case styles. Available in pink, black, and chocolate..... yum!
